I believe that movement is for every body.

My mission as your personal trainer is to help and motivate you to move – to move more often, to move better and without pain, to move in a way that will enable you to do the things that matter to you in your day to day life, to move in new and different ways that challenge your body and take you towards your goals, and to move towards a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

I am passionate that exercise and all of the health and lifestyle benefits of exercise should be viable, accessible options for everybody – regardless of your age, your starting point, your size, your shape, or your past experience.  I believe that exercise is right for you, and can be tailored to suit your specific needs. 

I have been a personal trainer for over 8 years - my sessions are always targeted towards your individual goals.  I offer corrective exercise, rehabilitation, pain management, and functional mobility combined with general fitness and fat loss and lifestyle coaching.  My training style is engaging, interactive, and highly professional.  I am passionate about food and about helping you find ways to enjoy food without sabotaging your health and fitness goals. 

 I have been working in disability, conductive education, and rehabilitation for 18 years, specialising in teaching movement strategies and skills to people with disabilities caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and various other neuro-muscular conditions.  I bring this wealth of experience into my role as a personal trainer.  I have learned to be able to break down complicated movements and goals into simple achievable steps; I have learned to approach everything from a positive, problem solving, can-do attitude.  I enjoy nothing more than celebrating your achievements large and small with you. 

 I love to watch ice hockey, I love music, and I’m learning to play bridge. I’ve played quite a bit of rugby; I’ve done a lot of time with serious weight lifting; I’ve spent years paddling and coaching dragon boat.  These days I’m more into tramping and trail walking and geocaching.  I can’t wait to work with you!
